What can I do when I have run out of flipbooks?

Every iPaper subscription includes a specific number of flipbooks. If you've reached your limit, there are a few ways to free up space or expand your capacity, depending on your needs.

📖 This guide explains:

You’ve reached your flipbook limit. What now?

When you have used all the flipbooks included in your subscription, you will no longer be able to create new flipbooks until you either:

  • delete existing flipbooks, or

  • increase your flipbook capacity.

Which option is best depends on whether you still need access to all your existing flipbooks and statistics.

Add more flipbooks to your license

If deleting flipbooks isn't an option, and you need additional flipbook capacity, it's possible to purchase extra flipbooks.

This can be a good option when:

  • you need to retain historical flipbooks

  • you are publishing catalogs frequently

  • your current feature set already meets your needs

Just reach out to us at support@ipaper.io and we'll help you out.

Deleting flipbooks and folders manually

If you have old, not-live flipbooks, you can manually delete them. It can take time and be cumbersome, but it frees up capacity without any extra costs to your license.

⚠️Important:

  • Any deletion of flipbooks and folders are permanent and cannot be restored.

  • All statistics will be lost after deletion. If you need statistics, download them before deleting.

See how to download statistics below:

Please note that if you wish to keep heatmap data, you have to screenshot the findings before deleting the flipbook.

How to delete a single flipbook

If you no longer need a flipbook, you can remove it to free up capacity.

To delete a flipbook:

  1. Right-click the flipbook you want to delete.

  2. Click Delete.

  3. Type the name of the flipbook to confirm the deletion.

  4. Click Delete to permanently remove it.

How to delete multiple flipbooks in a folder at once

If you need to remove many flipbooks, deleting an entire folder can be a much faster option.

When a folder is deleted, all flipbooks and subfolders contained within it are also deleted.

To delete a folder and its flipbooks:

  1. Locate the folder you want to delete.

  2. Right-click the folder.

  3. Click Delete.

  4. Type the folder name to confirm the deletion.

  5. Click Delete.

This follows the same confirmation process as deleting an individual fipbook, but allows you to remove multiple flipbooks in a folder in a single action.

An alternative for companies with technical resources and high flipbook volume: Backend API

For customers with large flipbook volumes, the Backend API can help streamline maintenance and reduce manual work.

Identify and delete specific flipbooks

Using the Backend API, you can:

  • identify flipbooks matching specific criteria

  • locate outdated or expired flipbooks

  • perform one-off clean-up projects

  • automate deletion workflows from your own systems

This is particularly useful when managing large catalog archives.

Create an automated clean-up service

Some customers build automated clean-up services using the Backend API.

For example, you could:

  • automatically identify flipbooks older than a specified time

  • delete flipbooks after a defined retention period

  • ensure your account remains below flipbook limits without manual intervention

If you're considering an automated approach, our Support team can help point you toward the relevant API documentation and best practices.
