Nearly every website today allows you to manage and give consent to cookies that collect and use your browsing data.
Based on the initiatives from the EU to uniformly regulate data collection, in the form of the GDPR and ePrivacy Regulation, iPaper offers a way to transfer the choice of cookies to your visitors.
🔰 This article assumes you understand the basics of cookies, their purpose, and whether your Flipbook needs a cookie policy banner. If you're unsure, check out our explanatory article below:
📖 This guide explains:
Which Consent Management option is right for your Flipbook?
iPaper supports three different consent management options, which can be applied to any Flipbook, or folder:
None: We do not handle consent and do not present any form of Consent Management banner.
Integration: No cookie banner is presented by iPaper, and you will have to integrate your existing consent management platform with iPaper. We assume only “strictly necessary” consent by default.
Basic Banner: iPaper presents a basic cookie consent banner that allows the user to manage consent.
💡 If you'd prefer to integrate your existing, third-party consent management platform into your Flipbooks, see our guide on this, below:
How to enable the Basic Cookie consent banner on your Flipbook
Select your Flipbook.
Click on the General tab.
From the vertical menu on the left, select Consent management.
Select Basic banner from the available consent management options.
Remember to Save changes using the button at the bottom of the window.
How to enable the Basic Cookie consent banner across folders using Inherited settings
It is rare you need this only for a single Flipbook, so consider using it on Folder- or Account level to make use of Inherited Settings.
Enabled at the account level, and it will be applied across your iPaper account. Doing so at the folder level will enable it on all Flipbooks and subfolders within the folder. For individual Flipbooks, enable it directly at the Flipbook level.
