Meta Tracking Pixel

Measure, Optimize and Retarget with Facebook Ads

Updated over a week ago

This article refers to the Meta pixel (formerly the Facebook tracking pixel), which is a third-party property, and may be subject to change.

The Meta pixel, (formerly known as the Facebook Tracking Pixel) allows for retargeting via Facebook, and other Meta platforms.

🔰 Before we get started, take a look at these resources, to better understand how to create a Meta Tracking Pixel:

📖 This guide explains:

Integrate your Meta account with iPaper via Custom Scripting

In order to take advantage of the full capacity of data points that iPaper can pass to Meta, we recommend that you integrate with iPaper via Custom Scripting. Integration via Custom Scripting allows you to fully customize the data points passed to your Meta Center, whereas the native iPaper integration allows for only Pageviews.

To find out how to integrate via Custom Scripting, see our guide, below:

Alternatively, if you use Google Tag Manager to deploy your tracking scripts into your Flipbook, you can use this to your advantage to inject your Meta Tracking Pixel. Doing so allows you to pass the full range of data points that Meta allows.

Learn more about how to do so, in our guide:

What can you track via the native iPaper integration?

The native iPaper integration will only track Pageviews. If you have a need for more advanced Facebook Pixel functionality, consider using either the Custom Scripting, or Google Tag Manager solutions listed above.

How to integrate Facebook Tracking Pixel with iPaper

Integrating your Meta pixel via the native iPaper integration is easy:

  1. In the Flipbook Overview, right-click on a Flipbook.

  2. From the drop-down menu, select Edit settings.

  3. Select the Integration pane.

  4. From the vertical menu on the left, select Facebook.

  5. Paste in your Meta Tracking Pixel ID

⚠️ Please note, this should only be the tracking ID, not the entire script!

Remember to save your changes!

Are you looking to include the same tracking pixel to all of your Flipbooks?

The Meta Tracking Pixel can be applied using the same method as above, on a folder, or even account level, which will apply to any and all Flipbooks contained within, using Inherited Settings.
