Moving enrichments from one Flipbook to another is easy with the Import/Export enrichments function!

Updated over a week ago

Creating an engaging browsing experience with Flipbook enrichments takes time. So if you've already spent ages creating something awesome for your Flipbook, you might want to apply them to your other Flipbooks. No problem, you can do just that!

You can export links from a specific Flipbook to an external location (e.g. your desktop) and then import these links to another Flipbook.

Why would you want to? Maybe you created your enrichments for a Flipbook in one language, but want the same for one in another language.

📖 This guide explains:

How to export enrichments

  1. From the Flipbook Overview, right-click on the Flipbook you wish to export enrichments.

  2. From the drop-down menu, select Edit pages.

  3. From the Edit Pages window, select Export enrichments, at the bottom.

Your enrichments will automatically be exported as an XML file, and downloaded to your default download location.

How to import enrichments

To import enrichments into Flipbook, the process is almost the same as above:

  1. From the Flipbook Overview, right-click on the Flipbook you wish to export enrichments.

  2. From the drop-down menu, select Edit pages.

  3. From the Edit Pages window, select Import enrichments, at the bottom. This will open a new Import enrichments window:

    Here, you have several fields:

    • File: select the file you wish to use to import enrichments. This should be an XML file.

    • Delete existing enrichments: check this box if you wish to overwrite any existing enrichments already in your Flipbook.

    • Text encoding: select the text encoding that was used to create your import file. If you are using an exported file from iPaper, this is UTF-8 by default.

    • Import enrichment category type: If your import file contains both manual and automatically created enrichments, you can select whether to import them all, or manually- or automatically created Enrichments only.

  4. Once you're ready, click Import enrichments.

How to clear enrichments from your Flipbook

⚠️ The Clear enrichments function will clear enrichments on all pages. To clear enrichments on a specific page, go to the Enrichment editor.

The third function, Clear enrichments, can be used if you want to remove all enrichments from your Flipbook.

You can choose to clear all enrichments, or only all manually created, or only all automatically created enrichments.
