On September 1, 2024, 8 years after introducing the Modern Binder in iPaper, we are removing the older, Legacy Binder.
What will happen?
We will automatically convert all existing Legacy Binders to Modern Binder, with a default template and settings applied.
When will it happen?
All Legacy Binders will be converted to Modern Binders on September 1, 2024.
Why is this happening?
Replacing Legacy Binder with Modern Binder is the first step to removing the Binder feature altogether. We are doing this in order to streamline the iPaper product offering, as Binder no longer fits our product vision.
⚠️ The Binder feature will eventually be removed completely, and we will communicate this at every stage in the process.
What do I need to do?
We encourage you to proactively convert your Legacy Binders as soon as possible. Doing so allows you to choose and configure your Binder template and appearance.
How do I convert my Legacy Binders?
Converting your Legacy Binder to Modern Binder is easy:
From the Flipbook Overview, select the Modules sub-menu.
Select Binder from the Modules menu. This will open a new window where you can see any existing Binders you have created, or create a new one:
Any Legacy Binders will be marked with a Legacy label.
To convert your Legacy Binder, select the convert icon. This will start the conversion process:
Configuring your new Modern Binder
During the conversion process, you'll be able to set templates for your Modern Binder, as well as configure the color scheme for it. This process is identical to when you create a new Modern Binder:

What alternatives to Binder can I use?
We recommend that you set up dedicated landing pages that list all of your live Flipbooks, as an alternative to Binder. We are happy to guide you towards this.
