Simple Upload

Let people upload PDFs without giving them full access

Updated over a week ago

Please note that Simple Upload is a Legacy feature which is no longer being sold.

By using the Simple Upload module you can allow colleagues with no access to iPaper to create flipbooks.

You simply send them a URL address to a page where they can upload a PDF file, name the Flipbook and view it immediately. The publication will be saved in a folder created by you.

📖 This guide explains:

How to Enable Simple Upload

  1. Right-click the folder, you want to allow Simple Upload on.

  2. From the drop-down menu, select Create simple upload. This will open a new window which presents you with several options:

    • Enabled: check this box to enable Simple Upload on your folder.

    • Name: Select the name for your Simple Upload.

    • Require login: Check this box to require visitors to log in before they can access the Flipbook. You will be prompted to provide a username and password.

    • IP restricted: Check this box if you want to restrict access to the Flipbook to only IP addresses you provide (only from office IP for example). You will be prompted to provide a list of all allowed IP addresses.

    • Limit: Check this box to limit the number of Flipbooks allowed to be uploaded to the Simple Upload folder.

  3. Remember to click Save.

How to use Simple Upload

Once you've created your Simple Upload, navigate to the settings of the folder, you created it for.

Scroll to the bottom of the Settings tab, and you'll find the URL to share, and the option to edit the settings for the Simple Upload:

Sharing the Simple Upload URL will allow the visitor to upload a PDF file to the folder, or remove existing Flipbooks.
