The Media Library: a home for all of your media assets, so they are close to hand and ready for use.

The Media Library is where you store all your media files that you use in your Flipbooks.

How to access the Media Library

  1. In the right-hand menu in iPaper, click on Flipbooks.
    โ€‹

  2. From the expanded menu, select Media.
    โ€‹

  3. Your Media Library will display in a pop-up modal.

How to upload media to the Media Library

Now that you're in your Media Library, you're probably wondering how to upload your media assets to it. Luckily, that part is easy!

Simply drag a file from your desktop, or right-click a folder to upload your media assets directly to that location:

Using this method, you can upload one, or multiple media files directly to a folder.

Supported file types in the Media Library

The Media Library supports all the necessary media file types you need to create an immersive, and engaging Flipbook:

  • PDF

Images

  • JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, WebP

Video

  • MP4, WebM

Data

  • CSV, XLSX, XML, JSON

โš ๏ธ File restrictions:

Individual files uploaded to the Media Library cannot exceed 1 GB (1024 MB).

Best practices for organizing your Media Library

How you organize the media assets in your Media Library is down to you. We recommend, however, that you organize them in a way that makes sense to you, allowing you to easily find files when required.

Organize by file type ๐Ÿ“‚

If you only have one, or a handful of Flipbooks, you might want to organize by file type, meaning s separate folder for your images, one for videos, etc.

Organize by Flipbook ๐Ÿ“š

If you have multiple Flipbooks, the number of files in your Media Library can quickly get very large. Consider organizing your Media Library by Flipbook. This means that you have a specific folder for each of your Flipbooks, with relevant media assets housed within subfolders within.

Tips and tricks for efficient Media Library use

๐Ÿ’ก You can right-click a file in Media to view more information about it, like its File ID, or its direct URL.

๐Ÿ’ก You can overwrite an existing file, by uploading a new file with the exact same name to the same folder.

๐Ÿ’ก You can create folders by right-clicking and selecting Create folder.

๐Ÿ’ก You can organize your files and folders by dragging and dropping, just like files and folders on your computer.
