Some of the terminology used on the iPaper platform can seem a little technical. If you need help, check out the explanations below:

  • API (Application Programming Interface):
    An API allows different software systems to work together in an automated fashion. Using an API you can automate typical tasks and utilize functionalities from the remote system. Here you will the documentations for the iPaper Frontend (link) and Backend (link) APIs.

  • iPaper platform/Backend:
    The system used by administrators to create and edit content.

  • Frontend:
    The user-friendly interface (e.g. the Flipbook available to the user).

  • FTP (File Transfer Protocol):
    A standard protocol used for copying files from one computer to another.

  • URL (Uniform Resource Locator):
    Addresses of web pages (e.g. https://www.ipaper.io).

  • RSS (Real Simple Syndication) feeds:
    A file that contains frequently updated information (such as news headlines or blog posts) that can be subscribed to using programs called feed readers or aggregators.

  • SEO (Search Engine Optimization):
    The process of improving the visibility of a website in search engines.

  • Wiki:
    A website that allows the creation and editing of any number of interlinked web pages via a web browser.
