Enrichments - Your way to an interactive Flipbook:

Enrichments is a powerful tool for the enhancement of your Flipbooks. You'll be able to make your publication come alive with links, images, videos and animations that will help you showcase your content in a new and exciting way.

NOTE: Protected Directories

A protected directory is a specific type of directory containing content that can be used only in the iPaper backend. Files are protected from download from within catalogs and cannot be used for preloaders, backgrounds or in Link Media. Click here to learn more.

How to Create a Link in a Flipbook:

You can either draw a link or select a media file from your  library and turn it into a link

  1. Select your Flipbook
  2. Click Link Media
  3. A New Window opens
  4. Select the Draw link tool from the toolbar to draw the link, or insert a file from your Media Library and turn that into a link:

  5. Select a link action from the right-hand menu
  6. By dragging the corners, you can scale the link up or down in size and move it around
  7. In the right menu select link action. Choose between:
    • Download File
    • External link
    • Internal link (link to page in flipbook)
    • iPaper link
    • Form
    • Mail
    • Menu
    • Pop Up Image
    • Pop Up Image Gallery
    • Pop Up Content
    • Pop Up Frame
    • Pop up Video
    • Shop
    • Shop Variant
  8. Fill out the information needed for the selected link action
  9. Press Save in your top left corner
  10. Press View to see the changes

How to move a link:

  1. Click on the link you wish to move
  2. Drag the link to its new position
  3. Press Save

How to place your links more accurately:

The Link Editor Tool easily lets you place links on a page. With the position tool, you can position an element’s x and y coordinates more accurately.

  1. Click on the element you want to position
  2. Select Position in the top menu
  3. Enter x and y percentage values on your top right corner
  4. Press Save

How to Create a Link Style:

A Link style refers to the way a drawn link appears in the iPaper publication.

You are able to use the pre-defined Links style or create your own.

  1. Click on the iPaper
  2. Select Link Media Editor
  3. A New Window opens
  4. Draw a link or select a link
  5. In the top menu this icon appears - click on it

  6. Click on New
  7. Name the drawing style
  8. Define the Color, Border size and, Opacity for the Link style
  9. Press Save

How to Copy a Link or a Video:

It is possible to copy links, video and, audio by following the steps below:

  1. Click on your iPaper
  2. Select Link Media

  3. A New Window opens
  4. Click on the link or video and use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-C to copy it, then paste it in with the shortcut Ctrl-V. To copy several elements at once, hold down the Ctrl key as you select them. 
  5. Click Save in the top left corner

How to Create a Menu:

The action type called  Menu makes it possible to display multiple options to the user when a page element is clicked or hovered with the mouse. The menu action displays a list of other actions which can include: External link, internal link, mail, shop, shop variant, form, function, and popup video.

  1. Click on the iPaper you wish to edit
  2. Select Link Media
  3. A New Windows opens
  4. Select the page where you want to insert a menu link
  5. Select drawing tool from the toolbar to draw the link or insert an image 
  6. In the right menu, you select Menu from the drop down 'Select a link action'

  7. Write a hovertext (optional)
  8. Press the Add Menu Item icon
  9. Select item type
  10. Press Ok
  11. Repeat steps 6-10 if you wish to add more items
  12. Press Save
  13. Press View to see the changes

How to Create a Popup Frame:

  1. Click on the iPaper
  2. Select Link Media 
  3. A New Windows opens
  4. Select the page where you want to create a link
  5. Click the drawing tool at the top bar
  6. Use the mouse to draw a link
  7. By dragging the corners, you can scale the link up or down in size and move it around
  8. In the right hand menu > Properties >  Link Action > select Popup frame from the drop-down menu

  9. Type in the URL of the content of the popup frame. Remember http://
  10. Set max width (or keep the default setting)
  11. Set max height (or keep the default setting)
  12. Select background color (optional)
  13. Type a Hover text which will appear by mouse over
  14. Click Save in the top left corner

How to Create Popup Content:

Popup Content is an image (image or text) which pops up and displays on the screen when activated (HTML catalogs only).

  1. Click the Flipbook
  2. Select Link Media
  3. A New Window opens
  4. Select the page where you want to insert popup content
  5. You can create popup content in two ways:
    1. Insert an image from Media Library 
      1. Click the icon 'Image from Media Library' in the toolbar (this image activates the popup content)
      2. Select your image (go to # 6)
    2. Draw a link which activates popup content
      1. Click the draw link icon in the toolbar
      2. Draw your link by marking the spot where you want your popup content (go to # 6)
  6. In the right menu, you select Popup content from the drop-down 'Select a link action'

  7. Press the Edit popup content button
  8. Type your text in the editor. You are able to insert links, change the font, style, size, insert images etc.
  9. Press OK when you were done
  10. Write a hover text which will be visible when moused over
  11. Press Save in your top left corner

How to Delete a Link or Video:

You can delete a single element or delete all links/videos on a page.

How to delete a single link or video:

  1. Click the Flipbook
  2. Select Link Media
  3. A New Windows opens
  4. Select the link you want to delete and click delete or backspace on your keyboard
  5. Press Save
